Arte ITALIA promotes the exploration and conservation of Italian culture, including innovative exhibitions of classic Italian art and culinary programs, showcasing visiting Italian chefs.

Located at 442 Flint on the northeast corner of California Avenue, Arte ITALIA will feature Italian art exhibits and regional chefs from Italy.

Award winning Italian-American photographer Douglas Gayeton returns to Arte ITALIA with a new exhibit consisting of 3 groups of photographs:

• Time spent studying Italy’s slow living culture in a 16th century convent in Tuscany
• Local businesses in and around Sonoma in 2009 and their impact on the world around them
• 2004 documentation of Ville Sbertoli, a mental institution in Pistoia, Italy that closed in the early 1980’s, leaving the contents of the building intact – including furniture, personal items and even medical records
